Description
This garlic butter chicken is quick, ridiculously flavorful, and perfect for busy weeknights. It features tender chicken coated in a rich garlic butter sauce that will impress your taste buds.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, pounded to even thickness
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Prep the Chicken: Place chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound to an even thickness (about 1 inch). Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat the Skillet: In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear for about 5-6 minutes on one side until golden brown.
- Flip the Chicken: Carefully flip the chicken and cook for another 5-6 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in the paprika and Italian seasoning.
- Add Broth: Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Bring it to a simmer.
- Return the Chicken: Add the chicken back into the skillet, spooning the sauce over it. Let it cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
Notes
Serve with a side of crusty bread to soak up the sauce. Leftovers taste even better the next day!
