- 1 loaf of Italian or French bread (sliced in half lengthwise)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 4–6 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt. Mix well until fully combined.
- Take your sliced bread and lay it cut-side up on the baking sheet. Use a butter knife to spread the garlic butter mixture generously over each half.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly over the buttered bread, followed by the grated Parmesan.
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. For extra crispiness, switch to broil for the last 1-2 minutes.
- Once golden and delicious, remove the bread from the oven. Let it cool slightly, then slice into pieces for serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding Italian seasoning or crushed red pepper flakes. This garlic bread is best enjoyed fresh out of the oven.
